Pay scale:-

for scientist -b Rs.8000-13500 (revised; Rs.15600-39100, Grade pay 5400) plus allowances,

for scientist -c Rs.10000-15200 (Revised: Rs.15600-39100, Grade pay 6600)

Age limit with educational qualification:-

for scientist-B the person with master degree in Physical Sciences / Life Sciences /Social Sciences are eligible up to below 28 years

and for degree in Engineering / Medical Sciences with 2 years experience of work are eligible up to below 28 years 

and for PhD, in any of the above fields are eligible up to below 33 years 

and for Master degree in Engineering and Medicine are eligible up to below 30 years of age as on closing date of application 

for scientist-C the person with Master Degree in Physical sciences / Life sciences/ Social sciences with 3 years of experiences are eligible up to below 31 years,

and for Degree in Engineering/ Medical sciences with 4 years experience are eligible up to below 32 years of age 

and for PhD, in any of the above fields with 1 years experience are eligible up to below 34 years of age 

and for Master degree in Engineering or Medicine with 2 years experience are eligible up to below 34 years of age as on closing date of application 

Age relaxation is given to reserved category person like obc, sc, st, women, and ph,as per government rules as 3 years and 5 years respectively,

1.Scientist-B - One (st), specialization in Ecosystem Services,

2.Scientist-c -One (St) , specialization in Environmental Governance and policy,

3.Scientist-c -One (sc), Specialization in Climate Change,

4.Scientist-c -One (ur) on adhoc basis, initially for two years,, Specialization in Environmental Physiology

Selection method:-The selection of candidates are based on test interview and candidates are selected on the basis of merit marks gained in interview,
